Sparks on the Water- Blue Point Bay II

Positive: Very large house. Mostly clean. Good location. Decent bed in the master bedroom downstairs. I give 7 just for the good value in the low season for me staying there alone. Would not give such a score if someone else had to stay in the other bedrooms. Negative: - The house is kind of empty and feels a lot like a timeshare property - lacks elements which bring feeling of coziness comfort and home. - it is said to be waterfront but it is on a high shore and there is no direct access to the water - one has to follow a fairly long path to get there bypassing neighbours. Trees completely block the view of the lake. - some blinds are missing from very large windows which affects feeling of privacy - as mentioned in other reviews the thin steel bed frames in the bedrooms upstairs are atrocious - falling apart and making beds to slide around the room easily - don't know how these can be considered adequate as they are simply not safe and ridiculously cheap. - the beds were not made up and the electric range was dirty. Laundry washer and dryer had wet clothes in them. When contacting the owner about that they said that they were not expecting to have a booking (!) and did not have enough time to complete the prep - a strange response and later not even "thank you" for me drying the wet clothes which would have been stinking if left wet. Overall felt like the owners did not really want me there.

Sparks on the Water was a picturesque, cozy location. Great for a relaxing family vacation.

The location was fantastic. The area was quiet, well-maintained, with a beautiful view of the lake, and a less than a minute from the beach. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, full of natural sunlight, and perfectly equipped. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the future.
